Youth Social Action

We encourage our children to be courageous advocates and to act if they see something wrong or something they can help with. Below are just a small sample of the activities they have engaged in:

• Cooking for their families

• Choir singing at Blackburn Cathedral

• Choir singing for the homeless

• Raising money for charities, e.g. Tommy's

• Computers for charity

• Eco

• Remembrance and community service

• Equal opportunities School Award

• Reduce car idling project

• Buddy project

• Protecting Animals With Schools (PAWS)

• Learning about how we can improve our village locality

• Linking Classrooms project: Inclusion and diversity

• Planting trees in the community

• Harvest fundraising and food bank collections

• "We are singers" - Youth Social Action project in conjunction with Ormiston trust

• Collection of hygiene products, distributed to those in need by the charities Funding Futures, The Hygiene Bank & Baby Basics amongst others
